Used to be, job seekers who showed a lot of “hopping around” on their resumes put up red flags.
But today, a 2-year stint seems less like a “quickie” and more like “a good learning experience.” In fact, those who’ve spent time in multiple roles tend to have a diverse array of technical experience — almost always a good thing.
A lot of recruiters like those of us at The Source and Recruit Company are open-minded about longevity on a resume, particular in turbulent times like we’ve all experienced in the last year or so.
Of course, there’s a limit to how much job hopping is actually too much. If your entire resume lists serial short-term gigs, you better have a good storyline to back it up.
Not a dealkiller, just a question raiser.
