Oddball Interview Questions You Should Be Asking

I am a big fan of oddball interview questions.

Most candidates stepping into an interview expect to be asked about their strengths and weaknesses, their recent experience, their background, etc.

Few expect to be asked โ€œWhatโ€™s your favorite fruit?โ€ or โ€œHow cool are you, on a scale of one to ten?โ€

Asking these types of out-of-the-blue questions makes interviews a hell of a lot more interesting. It can be a great icebreaker.

But it also tests a candidateโ€™s ability to think quickly and stay cool under pressure.

Often, itโ€™s not what they say but how they say it, and how well they respond to the interview process itself. You know this.

So next time youโ€™re in front of a potential candidate, mix it up a little.
